This webinar will attempt to provide a clearly constructed definition on the concepts that comprise meaning-based nursing care including its antecedents, defining attributes and consequences. Several concepts involved in this study's evolution have led to concept maps wherein the outcome is a framework of how nurses can be meaning-based resulting in the formulation of meaning-based nursing care approaches.
This course will retire after 2nd February 2025.

- To provide a clearly constructed definition of the concepts that comprise the creation of meaning based nursing care
- To showcase concept evolution using maps leading to a framework for meaning-based nursing care
- To formulate meaning-based care approaches that can be prescribed in the nursing area
Speaker Bio:
Pearl Ed G. Cuevas, PhD, MAN, RN, FGNLA
Dr. Cuevas is an Associate Professor V at Centro Escolar University, Manila and Makati, Philippines teaching in the School of Nursing & Graduate School. She graduated Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing at the University of the Philippines Manila, College of Nursing and Master of Arts in Nursing Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, College of Nursing. Passionate for lifelong learning, she is currently taking up Master of Science in Medical Anthropology and on Thesis Writing at the University of the Philippines Manila, College of Medicine. She was a Fellow of Cohort V at the Gerontology Nursing Leadership Academy, Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing, Indiana USA and an International Visiting Scholar at the Center for Global Initiatives, Johns Hopkins University, School of Nursing, Baltimore, Maryland USA. She is also a Distinguished Educator in Gerontology Nursing by the National Hartford Center of Gerontological Nursing Excellence in 2020.
